Union TempleUnion Temple is located in Prospect Heights at Grand Army Plaza across the street from the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library and Prospect Park, in the heart of Brownstone Brooklyn. We have been in this location since 1929. Read more about our history and our community now.

It is a short walk to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Brooklyn Public Library and the Prospect Park Zoo as well as a host of other great places in Prospect Heights and Park Slope.

Getting Here

We are easily accessible by public transportation. The Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum (2 or 3) and 7th Avenue (B and Q) stations and several bus lines are nearby. Click here for MTA maps and info.


If you come by car, street parking is available and there is a Quik Park indoor lot in the back of 1 Grand Army Plaza, the large glass building adjacent to Union Temple. A limited amount of free parking is available to members for events and days of worship with UT validation. The entrance to the lot is at 274 St John’s Place.
