Join us for a special docent tour of historic Roosevelt House at Hunter College. We’ll be guided through the rooms where President Franklin Roosevelt battled polio and planned the New Deal that brought our nation out of the Great Depression, and where Eleanor learned the skills she needed to lead her courageous battle for civil, human, and women’s rights, finally to become hailed as “America’s Ambassador to the World.” The tour is fascinating and so are the photographs and memorabilia.
Sisterhood is opening this special event to all Union Temple members and friends. The cost is only $15 per person, paid in advance. Make your check out to Sisterhood of Union Temple, earmark it “Roosevelt House Tour,” and mail it to Sisterhood of Union Temple, 17 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238. All checks must be received no later than October 20. On receipt of your check, we’ll give you further details.
In the meantime, please email Gail (firstname.lastname@example.org), Linda (email@example.com) or Barbara (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let us know that you intend to come. We’re looking forward to having you with us.
After the tour, you may want to join us for a separate-checks lunch at one of the nearby restaurants.
