An die Musik NYC: A New Concert Series Produced by Our Temple Musician Shinae Kim
Favorites from the Germanic cello repertoire are brought to life by young virtuoso, Emirhan Tunca and Shinae Kim. Bach’s majestic Suite in C Major is featured alongside Beethoven’s energetic Sonata in A Major and Schumann’s poignant Fantasiestücke.

Dr. Shinae Kim began studying piano in South Korea, where she gave her first performance at age seven debut with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at age 11, she moved to the U.S. to study at the Idyllwild Arts Academy. She went on to receive a B.A. in Music from The Boston Conservatory, an M.A. in Music Education from New York University Steinhardt, and a D.M.A. from SUNY Stony Brook. She has taught at LaGuardia High School and Robert F. Wagner Jr. Secondary School, and is an adjunct faculty member at Hebrew Union College and New York University. As Temple Musician at Union Temple she is an accompanist at services and leads the adult choir.
The 2017-2018 Concert Series takes place Sunday afternoons at 4:00PM.
