An die Musik NYC: A Concert Series Produced by Our Temple Musician Shinae Kim
Join us for the third season of An die Musik NYC, a concert series bringing you captivating classical music in a warm, intimate setting. An die Musik’s Artistic Director, our own Temple Musician Shinae Kim, presents internationally renowned performers alongside rising talents from the NYC community.
Renowned pianist Albert Lotto will perform a program featuring the works of Frédéric Chopin. Since winning First Prize in the Montreal International Piano Competition, and the Gold Medal at the Busoni International Piano Competition, Albert Lotto has toured frequently and extensively on four continents. He was chosen by the Juilliard School to represent the United States Department of State as a cultural ambassador to Japan, Taiwan, the Republic of China, Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador and Peru. He simultaneously worked with the Peace Corps as a representative artist and teacher in Honduras.

Dr. Shinae Kim began studying piano in South Korea, where she gave her first performance at age seven and debuted with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at age 11. She moved to the U.S. to study at the Idyllwild Arts Academy. She went on to receive a B.A. in Music from The Boston Conservatory, an M.A. in Music Education from New York University Steinhardt, and a D.M.A. from SUNY Stony Brook. She has taught at LaGuardia High School and Robert F. Wagner Jr. Secondary School, and is an adjunct faculty member at Hebrew Union College and New York University. As Temple Musician at Union Temple she is an accompanist at services and leads the adult choir.
